Term 1 Week 10

Image
Kia Ora Kākano Whānau,  We have made it to the last week of term!! Last year, term one wasn’t so successful, as we had gone into lockdown after only 8 weeks. It has been a great term. All of the classes have settled well with their new teachers and we, the teachers, have loved getting to know all of the children and families. Thank you for your support during this term with various school and classroom events. Take a look at some of the photos from last week: We were lucky to Senior Constable Regan in to talk to the children about safety in the car. He talked about having the correct car seats in for the children as well as the importance of ALWAYS wearing your seatbelt. It is always great to have these community leaders come in and see the children for a casual chat so that the children know that these people are out there to help us. Principal's Morning Tea On Wednesday, some children will be selected to go to a Principal’s morning tea. There are only 3 children per class c

Term 1 Week 10

Kia Ora Kākano Whānau,  We hope you all had a restful and holy Easter weekend. This week is a short school week.  We have noticed many of our tamariki are tired as we race towards the end of the term.  It is important for children to have an early bedtime to ensure they are getting enough sleep as well as lunch boxes that are filled with brain food such as fruit, yoghurt, vege snacks and sandwiches. Thank you to the families who have donated spreads for the children to use as they make their own toast and to those who have donated tools, and building supplies for our carpentry area.  Your generosity is much appreciated. Not much is happening this week at school (apart from all our wonderful learning opportunities). Wednesday: Normal school day Thursday: Normal school day Friday: Library - please ensure your child has their library books and library bag Sausage Sizzle and Juicies for sale - $1.50 each We look forward to seeing you back at school tomorrow, Sara Mines, Sany-Joy Mareroa,
