Welcome to Kakano 5!!!

I hope you've all had a great break.

A little bit about me:

My name is Sany-Joy Mareroa. I have been at St Mary's for 2 years now and look forward to my third year here with this new class as Kakano 5! I grew up in Rotorua with my parents and younger sister. I really enjoy the outdoors, traveling and walking! I went to Dunedin to study teaching then worked in Auckland. I am so happy to be back here in Rotorua after 10 years and working at this amazing school!!

Term 4 Week 9

  Week 9 Kia Ora Kākano Whānau, We are in the final week of school for 2021. We have a very exciting week ahead in and out of the classroom. The children get to compete in a duathlon, meet their teacher and classmates for 2022, create christmas art, bring their mahi from the year home, celebrate their learning/achievements and the year we have had.  Duathlon - Monday 13th December 2021 On Monday 13th we will be having our school duathlon. Children will need to have their togs, towel, goggles, running shoes/gear and a water bottle. Unfortunately under the red light restrictions our tamariki whānau and friends will not be allowed to come onto school grounds but all the teachers and other students will be cheering them on and lots of photos will be taken!
